Advent Solar, Inc.
Advent Solar, Inc. is Mesa del Sol’s first tenant and a key component of its burgeoning renewable energy cluster. Founded in 2002, Advent Solar moved to its Mesa del Sol offices in 2006 — state-of-the-art facilities that recently received LEED certification. There are currently 166 employees on site.
Using advanced technology developed at nearby Sandia National Laboratories, Advent’s goal is to drive down the cost of solar power, making sustainable energy accessible to more individuals and organizations throughout the world. Their important discovery, known as emitter wrap-through (EWT) technology, enables the use of ultra-thin silicon wafers, minimizing the use of this costly material. The company recently secured more than $70 million in Series-D funding—some of which will be used to expand the company’s operations in order to meet the overwhelming global demand for Advent products.

Albuquerque Studios
Available land, proximity to the Albuquerque airport and the incentives offered by the State of New Mexico were among the many factors that attracted Albuquerque Studios to Mesa del Sol. Now fully booked with film and television production, the studios offer 28 acres of full-service, highly specialized facilities for the production of film, television, music videos, commercials and digital media.
The company has invested an initial $75 million at Mesa del Sol, and boasts more than 250,000 square feet of buildings—including six sound stages (with two more in development), wardrobe rooms, dimmer rooms, production and post-production space, ample room for set construction and lighting/grip storage, plus a large backlot. The facility is exclusively managed by Pacifica Ventures, and is home to 42 permanent employees in Albuquerque. In their efforts to ensure that their clients have everything they require on site, Albuquerque Studios offers a five-star concierge service; the studios have established relationships with a number of local and national service companies, including New Mexico Lighting and Grip (a subsidiary of NBC Universal), Star Waggons, Axium International, Cisco Systems, and First Call Studio Equipment.

Fidelity Investments
Fidelity Investments, one of the world's largest providers of financial services, has chosen Albuquerque’s Mesa del Sol as the site of its new 210,000 square foot operations center. The company is expected to create 1,250 jobs in Albuquerque.
Fidelity will begin its operations in Albuquerque this year. Mesa del Sol will build and then lease a two-story structure to Fidelity. The building will be constructed in two phases, with Phase I ready for tenant occupancy in December 2008 and Phase II ready in March 2009. The new campus will house the expansion of Fidelity’s Human Resource Services business, which provides corporate clients with payroll, health and welfare, and human resources services.

SCHOTT Solar Inc.
SCHOTT Solar Inc., will build a 200,000 square foot manufacturing facility on 80 acres at Mesa del Sol’s Innovation Park. A wholly owned subsidiary of SCHOTT AG, SCHOTT Solar is a global leader in glass and optics and one of the largest solar technology manufacturers in the world.
SCHOTT is the second solar manufacturer to join the Mesa del Sol renewable energy cluster. The company plans on having an initial 350 jobs and as many as 1,500 jobs when all phases of the plant are complete. The worldwide company will produce critical components for solar thermal receivers and photovoltaic (PV) panels. This will be the company’s largest facility in the U.S.
Plans call for an initial $100 million investment. Construction on the first phase of the project is set to begin in early March 2008, and the company plans to have production underway at the new facility expected in Spring 2009.
