At Mesa del Sol, we’re committed to bringing hundreds of new jobs to New Mexico every year. Jobs that offer substantial income and a real career path.

The way we’re doing this is by concentrating our economic development efforts on a few industries that have the most to gain from Albuquerque’s highly ranked economic climate.

• Entertainment and digital media firms, such as Albuquerque Studios and Sony Imageworks.
• Clean technology companies like Advent Solar.
• Organizations working in government and financial services.

This kind of targeted approach helps us accomplish several important goals. First, it allows us to bring in companies that fit Mesa del Sol, that contribute to the community atmosphere we’re trying to foster here. Conversely, it lets us tailor Mesa del Sol so that it’s uniquely attractive to these companies. And it creates the possibility for a powerful alignment between the industries coming to New Mexico and the state’s colleges and universities. The clearest example so far is the University of New Mexico’s Film School, which will both support and be supported by Mesa del Sol’s entertainment and media companies.

By keeping our focus tight, we’re finding wide-open opportunities for real economic progress.
